Boater’s World Marine Centers is hiring an Assistant Parts Manager to support daily operations at our Lake Placid location.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role working directly alongside the Parts Manager — helping manage inventory, source parts, and support both the Service and Sales teams in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
Parts Operations & Inventory
- Assist in daily parts department operations
- Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and adjustments
- Receive, inspect, label, and stock incoming parts
- Source and order marine parts and accessories from vendors
- Track backorders and follow up to ensure timely fulfillment
Service Department Support
- Work closely with Service Writers and Technicians to fulfill parts requests
- Identify correct parts, engines, and rigging components
- Help reduce downtime by ensuring parts are available when needed
- Prioritize internal service needs to keep workflow moving
Sales Department Support
- Assist Sales team with accessory quotes and installation pricing
- Work directly with customers on upgrades and add-ons
- Recommend safety equipment, maintenance items, and accessories
- Coordinate with Sales and Service for timely installs and deliveries
Systems & Administrative
- Use Lightspeed for inventory, ordering, and invoicing
- Process purchase orders, returns, and vendor invoices
- Maintain pricing accuracy and vendor relationships
- Support reporting and daily operational tracking
Department Support
- Work directly with the Parts Manager on daily priorities
- Support both front counter and back-end operations as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient department
What We’re Looking For
- Prior marine parts experience in a dealership or service environment (required)
- Strong knowledge of marine engines, components, and rigging parts
- Experience with Lightspeed DMS (strongly preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Reliable, organized, and team-oriented
