Automotive Parts Manager
Our Automotive Parts departments are fast-paced, service-driven, and essential to keeping operations running efficiently for both customers and technicians. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Auto Parts Manager to lead daily department operations, drive profitability, and maintain strong internal and external customer relationships.
In this role, you will oversee inventory management, wholesale and retail Automotive parts operations, vendor relationships, and department personnel while ensuring excellent customer service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities of an Auto Parts Manager
- · Manage all daily operations of the Auto Parts Department, including inventory control, ordering, receiving, and distribution.
- · Lead and develop Parts Department employees through training, coaching, and performance management.
- · Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet customer and service department demands while minimizing obsolescence.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with wholesale accounts, vendors, and internal departments.
- · Review departmental reports, analyze performance metrics, and implement strategies to improve profitability and efficiency.
Ensure accurate billing, inventory reconciliation, warranty returns, and parts tracking processes.
- · Maintain clean, organized, and safe parts storage and warehouse areas.
Work closely with the Service and Collision departments to ensure efficient parts flow and technician support.
- · Stay current on manufacturer programs, pricing updates, and industry trends through ongoing training.Requirements of an Auto Parts Manager
- · Prior automotive dealership parts management experience required.
- · Strong knowledge of automotive parts operations, inventory management, and dealership systems.
- · Proven leadership ability with strong organizational and communication skills.
- · Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- · Strong customer service mindset with the ability to build lasting relationships.
- · Ability to analyze reports, manage expenses, and drive departmental profitability.
- · Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
