Top Blue Line is seeking a Parts Manager to support shop operations by sourcing and ordering parts for Semi- Trucks (Volvo and Freightliner). In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing inventory, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring excellent customer service. You will play a key role in maintaining efficient parts operations to support our service and operation teams.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the parts department.
- Oversee inventory control and parts ordering to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships
- Pricing parts to maintain profitability
- Hiring, supervising and training parts department staff members
- Maintain accurate records and reporting regarding parts sales and inventory
- Collaborating with service managers to ensure all parts are available for repair jobs
- Track incomplete order status (outstanding orders, backorders, and credits) and follow up as necessary
Requirements
- Proven experience managing parts departments
- Product knowledge to ensure they identify parts correctly and recommend the needed parts
- Ability to provide clear, concise information in writing, via phone and in-person
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Previous mechanic experience a plus.
- Valid Driver's License Required
- Must be able to lift to 50 pounds
