Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Duluth, MN. As an Assistant Parts Manager,
you will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction by managing inventory
control, handling service parts, and providing exceptional customer service. You will
work closely with the team to maintain an organized inventory and support service
workers with their parts needs. This position is responsible for maintaining stock levels,
managing supplier relationships, and facilitating the procurement of parts necessary for
construction, utility, automotive service and equipment repair. The ideal candidate will
possess strong mechanical knowledge and logistical skills to support the overall
functionality of the service department.
This role requires a proactive approach, attention to detail, and a commitment to
maintaining high standards in parts management. The Assistant Parts Manager will be
instrumental in supporting the operational success of our sales and service

Duties
Manage inventory levels to ensure availability of parts while minimizing excess
stock.
Purchase parts from suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and pricing.
Promote the organization of the warehouses to ensure efficient retrieval and
storage of parts.
Coordinate with service technicians to understand their needs for parts and
supplies.
Implement supply chain strategies to optimize procurement processes.
Utilize forklift equipment safely for moving heavy parts within the warehouses.
Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and supplier
communications.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations within the warehouse environment.
Skills
Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction, utility, automotive service
and equipment repair.
Proficient in logistics management and supply chain operations.
Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
Excellent organizational skills to manage inventory efficiently.
Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members.
Problem-solving abilities to address challenges in inventory management or
supply chain issues.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Inventory Control and Inventory Management
Knowledge of Service Parts and their management processes
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently, and as part of a team
Previous experience in commercial truck and/or industrial settings in the
mechanical industry is a plus.
Commercial driver license a plus (with a clean driving record); valid regulars drivers' license is required; regular drivers license is required.
High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in a related field is
beneficial
