Messer Truck and Van is looking for a hands-on leader to support our Parts and Warehouse Team. This role helps keep parts operations organized, accurate, and responsive by managing inventory flow, supporting technicians and customers, and maintaining a clean, efficient warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Conduct regular cycle counts, properly label stock, maintain accurate inventory records, and organize warehouse racks for efficient access.
- Receiving & Stocking: Receive incoming parts, verify shipments, stock inventory in the correct locations, and help maintain orderly parts storage areas.
- Parts Counter Support: Assist technicians and customers at the parts counter, answer phone inquiries, identify specific parts, and help provide timely service.
- Ordering & Coordination: Support parts ordering, communicate stock needs, and coordinate with service and sales teams to keep work moving smoothly.
- Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse while helping ensure parts are easy to locate and properly handled.
- Team Communication: Help lead daily parts and warehouse activity by communicating priorities, addressing roadblocks, and supporting a productive team environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: 3+ years of general warehouse, parts, inventory, or related experience.
- Licensing: Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer skills, familiarity with automotive or heavy-duty truck components, and ability to read part numbers.
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for long shifts.
- Ability to routinely lift and carry heavy truck parts, frequently between 50–75 lbs.
