Alpine Motor Collection is an independent exotic and luxury automobile dealership based in Modesto, California. We specialize in high-line sports, exotic, and collector vehicles, and our clients are located across the country.
Most of our sales happen over phone, text, and video long before a client ever stands next to the car. We are hiring our first dedicated Business Development Representative to own that first conversation.
Role:
You are the first voice a client hears. Your job is to respond fast, qualify thoroughly, and hand a prepared, motivated buyer to our sales team.
This is not a lot-walking position. You will spend your day on the phone, on video, on social media and in the CRM, working with serious buyers making significant purchases. Speed and professionalism matter more here than volume dialing.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to all inbound leads — web, phone, text, and marketplace — with a target median response time under 10 minutes
- Qualify clients on budget, timeline, financing versus cash, and trade-in
- Capture signed credit authorizations and submit complete, accurate applications to our finance department
- Schedule and coordinate video walkarounds with the sales team
- Book appointments for local clients and traveling buyers
- Coordinate pre-purchase inspections and out-of-state transport quotes
- Maintain a disciplined follow-up cadence and keep CRM records accurate and current
- Work aged inventory lists and re-engage past clients
- Follow all FCRA, privacy, and dealership data-handling procedures without exception
Monthly Targets:
- 15 signed credit applications
- 15 scheduled appointments (in-person or video)
- Median response time under 10 minutes
- Contribution toward monthly delivered unit goals
Targets are reviewed with your manager and supported with training, scripts, and lead flow. We are not interested in activity for its own sake — we are interested in qualified buyers who close.
Required
- 1+ years in a BDC, inside sales, outside sales, call center, or automotive sales role
- Confident and articulate on the phone and on camera
- Strong written communication — a significant portion of this job is text and email
- Comfortable working in a CRM and maintaining accurate records
- Availability for some evenings and weekends
- Valid California driver's license and insurable driving record
Preferred
- Automotive BDC experience, luxury or exotic segment
- Familiarity with credit applications and lender submission processes
- Existing social media presence
Compensation
- Base pay: $22.00 per hour, depending on experience
- Performance bonuses tied to qualified applications and delivered units
- Estimated total annual compensation: $72,000–$135,000, based on performance
- Overtime paid in accordance with California law
