GENERAL MANAGER — CHEVROLET | GMC
Thomasville, Alabama | Full-Time
HELP BUILD THE NEXT JOE BULLARD DEALERSHIP.
Joe Bullard Automotive is growing.
We are acquiring the Chevrolet and GMC dealership in Thomasville, Alabama, and we are searching for the leader who will help shape what this dealership becomes next.
This is more than an opportunity to inherit an operation.
It is an opportunity to build one.
Build the culture. Build the team. Build expectations. Build relationships in the community. Build a business that performs at a high level and becomes a place where great people want to work.
And you do not necessarily have to come from another dealership to do it.
WE HIRE LEADERS, NOT JUST RÉSUMÉS.
Automotive experience is valuable, but it is not the only path to this role.
We are interested in proven leaders who have demonstrated the ability to lead people, manage a business, drive performance, create accountability and build strong teams.
Maybe you have spent your career in automotive.
Maybe you have worked inside a dealership but have never been given the opportunity to lead one.
Or maybe your background is in retail, hospitality, banking, transportation, equipment, manufacturing or another performance-driven business.
If you know how to lead people and run a business, we want to hear from you.
WHO IS JOE BULLARD?
Joe Bullard Automotive has been serving the Gulf Coast since 1955.
We are a family-owned automotive organization built around a simple vision:
SERVE. DEVELOP. PROFIT. GROW.
We believe those four things work together.
We serve our customers and communities.
We develop our people.
We operate profitable businesses.
And when we do those things well, we earn the opportunity to grow.
Our expansion into Thomasville represents the next chapter in that story.
We do not simply want to change the name on the building. We want to build a dealership that employees are proud to represent, customers trust and the Thomasville community is proud to call its own.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The General Manager will lead the overall performance, people and culture of the dealership.
You will be responsible for establishing expectations, developing leaders and creating an environment where people understand what winning looks like.
Key responsibilities include:
· Lead the overall dealership operation
· Recruit, develop and retain high-performing people
· Build a strong leadership team
· Establish clear expectations and accountability
· Drive revenue, profitability and operational performance
· Lead both customer-facing and operational departments
· Develop a culture of service, teamwork and continuous improvement
· Understand and manage financial performance and key business metrics
· Create processes that improve the customer experience
· Build strong relationships throughout the Thomasville community
· Represent Joe Bullard with professionalism and integrity
· Partner with Joe Bullard leadership to establish the long-term vision for the store
WHO SHOULD APPLY?
We are looking for someone who has demonstrated leadership success.
You may be a strong fit if you have:
· Led a significant team or business operation
· Been responsible for revenue, expenses, profitability or a P&L
· Built or transformed a team or workplace culture
· Developed managers or future leaders
· Led a sales, service or customer-focused organization
· Successfully held people accountable while maintaining strong relationships
· Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision-making ability
· Built a track record of measurable performance
Automotive or dealership experience is a plus, but it is not required.
Previous dealership experience in any capacity is also valuable, even if you have never held a General Manager title.
What matters most is your ability to lead.
THIS IS A BUILDING OPPORTUNITY.
There are plenty of jobs where you can step into someone else’s system and maintain what already exists.
This is different.
Joe Bullard is entering a new market, and the leadership team we assemble now will help determine what this dealership looks like for years to come.
We are looking for someone who wants that responsibility.
Someone who wants to develop people.
Someone who wants to make an impact.
Someone who wants to look back several years from now and say:
“I helped build that.”
If that sounds like the type of opportunity you have been waiting for, we would like to meet you.
COME BUILD WHAT’S NEXT.
