European Automotive Enthusiast — Service Advisor / Customer Service

We are looking for someone who genuinely loves automobiles and wants to turn that passion into a career.
We are a busy, highly productive independent automotive repair shop specializing in European vehicles, and we're looking for someone who is excited to learn. You don't necessarily need to know everything about cars when you start — but you do need to be curious about them.
If you are the person who enjoys reading about how an engine works, watching diagnostic videos, researching a strange noise your car is making, or spending your weekend working on your own vehicle, you may be exactly the kind of person we're looking for.
This is not a boring desk job.
You will be surrounded by cars every day, working alongside experienced automotive professionals, talking with technicians, researching parts and repairs, communicating with customers, and learning how modern European vehicles are diagnosed and repaired.
You will become an important part of the process that takes a customer's vehicle from check-in to completed repair.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting customers and listening carefully to their vehicle concerns.
- Writing detailed notes about symptoms and customer complaints.
- Checking vehicles in and documenting their condition.
- Photographing vehicles for pre-existing damage.
- Communicating with technicians about vehicle symptoms, diagnostic findings, and repair recommendations.
- Learning automotive systems from experienced technicians.
- Researching unfamiliar problems and learning how different systems work.
- Ordering and sourcing automotive parts.
- Comparing parts from multiple suppliers based on price, quality, availability, and application.
- Finding hard-to-source European parts.
- Communicating with customers by phone, text, and email throughout the repair.
- Entering technician findings and notes into repair orders.
- Helping coordinate the workflow of the shop.
- Keeping track of multiple vehicles and repairs simultaneously.
- Helping solve problems when something doesn't go according to plan.
- Making sure repairs move through the shop efficiently and customers are kept informed.
This is also a customer-facing position, so you must be able to communicate professionally and keep up with a busy shop.

Computer & Administrative Skills
You'll also need to be comfortable working with computers and technology.
- 60+ WPM typing speed with high accuracy.
- Ability to use a 10-key keypad.
- Comfortable with email, texting, online research, and computer-based shop management systems.
- Strong attention to detail when documenting vehicle concerns and repair information.
Automotive Knowledge Is a Plus — Passion Is Even Better
Experience as a service advisor, technician, parts specialist, or other automotive position is helpful.
But we're also interested in the person who has spent years learning about cars because they genuinely enjoy them.
Maybe you've worked on your own BMW.
Maybe you know more about VAG fault codes than you probably should.
Maybe you've rebuilt an engine, modified a MINI, restored an old Mercedes, tracked a Porsche, or simply spend way too much time watching automotive diagnostic videos.
That's the kind of enthusiasm we're looking for.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license.
- Able to drive automatic and manual-transmission vehicles, or willing to learn.
- Must be willing to pass a drug test.
