Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated, customer-focused team member to join our Parts Sales & Customer Support team. This is an opportunity to build your knowledge of agricultural equipment and technology while working directly with customers and helping them find practical solutions for their operations.
In this role, you will work with customers by phone and in person, provide quotes and product information, recommend the right parts and products, and help customers understand how our equipment and technology can benefit their operation. You’ll also build lasting customer relationships by providing knowledgeable, responsive, and dependable service.
The position begins with a focus on agricultural parts and customer support throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Sales & Service: Answer inbound phone calls, assist customers in person, identify their needs, and help them find the right parts, equipment, and technology solutions.
- Planter Parts: Assist customers with new planter parts, including identifying parts, answering questions, providing recommendations, and processing orders.
- Quotes & Product Information: Provide accurate quotes, pricing, availability, and product information to customers.
- Product Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of planters, planter components, parts, and related technology in order to provide helpful and accurate recommendations.
- Product Education: Explain the benefits, features, and applications of our products and systems to help customers determine what best fits their operation.
- Customer Follow-Up: Follow up with customers regarding quotes, orders, questions, and other needs to ensure they receive the support they need.
- Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers by providing dependable service and knowledgeable support.
- Sales Support: Help improve the efficiency of the sales process by staying organized, responding promptly to customers, and helping move opportunities from inquiry to sale.
- Seasonal Flexibility: As planter parts demand changes throughout the year, be willing to learn and assist with other product lines, departments, or areas of the business as needed.
Qualifications:
- Customer Service: Strong customer service skills and a genuine interest in helping customers find the right solutions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain products and technical information.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage customer inquiries, quotes, orders, and follow-up.
- Product Knowledge: Interest in agricultural equipment, planters, parts, and technology. Previous experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.
- Learning Ability: Willingness to learn new products, systems, and technology and continue developing product knowledge.
- Sales Skills: Ability to identify customer needs, make appropriate product recommendations, and confidently assist with sales.
- Computer Skills: Comfortable using computers and learning software systems used for quoting, order entry, customer management, and communication.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with customers and coworkers across different areas of the business.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in agricultural equipment, planter parts, or related industries.
- Previous experience in parts sales, equipment sales, customer service, or a similar role.
- Knowledge of planters, planter components, and precision agriculture technology.
- Experience working with agricultural equipment dealers, farmers, or agricultural businesses.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in an office, parts, and equipment environment.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry parts or other items as needed.
- Ability to move throughout the workplace and assist with parts and equipment as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $34.00 per hour
