REV Outfitters | Colorado
Lead a specialty automotive and off-road operation. Build the team. Improve the process. Build freedom.
REV Outfitters is a Colorado-based 4x4, off-road, overland and automotive repair company built around one simple idea: we build freedom.
We don't just repair vehicles. We help our customers build, maintain and improve the vehicles that take them to the places they want to go.
We're looking for an experienced Store Leader / General Manager to take ownership of our day-to-day operation and help us build the next stage of REV.
This is not a desk job. It is a leadership role for someone who enjoys people, vehicles, problem-solving, accountability and building a great business.
You will lead a team of technicians, service advisors and support staff while owning the performance of a multi-million dollar specialty automotive operation.
THE OPPORTUNITY
REV operates at the intersection of automotive repair and specialty off-road.
Our work ranges from traditional automotive diagnostics and repair to:
- 4x4 repair and maintenance
- Lift and suspension systems
- Wheels and tires
- Gears and drivetrain
- Steering and alignment
- Bumpers, armor and recovery equipment
- Electrical and accessory installation
- Overlanding equipment
- Performance upgrades
- Custom vehicle builds
- Specialty diagnostics and problem-solving
That combination creates an exciting business — but it also creates complexity. Let’s be real…
Aftermarket parts can be delayed or incorrect. A repair can uncover problems that weren't visible during the original diagnosis. Custom work doesn't always follow a textbook repair procedure. Customers have high expectations for their vehicles and their adventures.
Your job is to turn that complexity into a well-run, profitable, predictable operation.
WHAT YOU'LL OWNPeople & Leadership

You'll:

- Conduct regular one-on-ones and performance reviews
- Identify training and development opportunities
- Create a culture of ownership
- Help build a team that takes pride in the work we put on the road
Shop Operations
You will be responsible for making the shop run.
You'll improve:
- Technician productivity
- Bay utilization
- Scheduling
- Workflow
- Parts readiness
- Work-in-process (WIP)
- Quality control
- On-time delivery
- Communication between technicians, advisors and parts
- Daily production planning
One of your most important responsibilities will be keeping vehicles moving through the shop without sacrificing quality or customer experience.
Financial Performance
You will own the store's financial performance alongside company leadership.
You'll manage:
- Sales
- Gross profit dollars
- Gross profit percentage
- Labor sales
- Parts sales and margin
- Productivity
- Operating expenses
- WIP
- Inventory
- Store-level profitability
You won't be measured simply by how busy the shop is.
You'll be measured by how effectively the shop converts capacity into profitable work.
Customer Experience
Our customers trust us with vehicles that are often extremely important to them — and sometimes represent significant investments.
You'll help ensure that we:
- Set realistic expectations
- Communicate clearly
- Diagnose problems correctly
- Present solutions honestly
- Don't sell unnecessary work
- Communicate delays before they become surprises
- Resolve problems quickly
- Deliver vehicles when we say we will
- Stand behind our work
- Create an - Not just a transaction
At REV, if the customer doesn't need it, we don't sell it.
Specialty 4x4 & Custom Work
You don't have to be the best technician in the building. But you do need to understand the work.
You should be comfortable discussing things like:
- Suspension systems
- Lift kits
- Gearing
- Drivetrain
- Steering
- Alignment
- Tires and wheels
- Electrical/accessory installations
- Recovery equipment
- Overlanding equipment
- 4x4 diagnostics
- Custom vehicle builds
You need enough technical understanding to ask good questions, recognize problems, support your team and make sound business decisions.
