Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Parts Manager to oversee the daily operations of a parts department. This position will be responsible for inventory management, purchasing, customer service, team leadership, and ensuring the efficient distribution of parts and related products.
The ideal candidate is organized, results-oriented, and experienced in managing parts operations in a fast-paced environment. This role will work closely with service, operations, and other internal teams to ensure parts are available when needed and department goals are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels to support operational and customer needs.
- Monitor inventory to minimize shortages, excess stock, and obsolete parts.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure parts are properly organized, labeled, and stored.
Customer Service & Parts Support
- Assist customers and internal teams in identifying and sourcing the correct parts.
- Provide timely and professional service.
- Resolve parts-related questions, issues, and customer concerns.
- Coordinate orders and ensure parts are available when needed.
Purchasing & Vendor Management
- Source parts from suppliers and manage purchasing activities.
- Obtain competitive pricing and negotiate with vendors when appropriate.
- Monitor orders, deliveries, and backorders.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Team Leadership
- Lead, train, and support parts department employees.
- Assign daily responsibilities and manage department workflow.
- Monitor employee performance and provide coaching when necessary.
- Promote a professional, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
Department Operations
- Monitor parts sales, expenses, and overall department performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Collaborate with service and operations teams to support daily business needs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate parts, purchasing, and inventory documentation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience managing a parts department or similar operation.
- Strong knowledge of parts inventory management and purchasing.
- Experience working with inventory or parts management systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
- Experience with automotive, commercial equipment, transportation, or other specialized parts is preferred.

Pay: Up to $65,000.00 per year
