Service Writer

Duties:

- Interact with customers to understand their vehicle service needs and concerns
- Write accurate and detailed service orders based on customer requests and vehicle inspections
- Provide recommendations for necessary repairs and maintenance based on vehicle condition and manufacturer guidelines
- Communicate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and service tasks
- Update customers on the status of their vehicles and any additional repairs needed
- Coordinate with parts department to ensure availability of necessary parts for repairs
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service orders, and repair history

Requirements- at least three years of automotive service writer experience

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

-Valid drivers license
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers
- Knowledge of automotive systems, including shocks, struts, brakes, suspension, transmission, diesel engines, alignment, oil changes, tire services, and air brakes
- Ability to accurately diagnose vehicle issues and recommend appropriate repairs
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient in using computer software for writing service orders and maintaining records
