Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Truck Service Writer/Shop manager assistant to join our team. In this vital role, you will help manage parts inventory, fleet and customer maintenance schedules, data input, and work order writing/assisting in invoicing.

Duties include but are not limited to

Greet customers and drivers promptly and professionally, gathering detailed information about their vehicle issues and service needs.
Assist in writing accurate and comprehensive repair orders, including descriptions of problems, recommended services, and estimated costs.
Coordinate with shop manager or service technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of work.
Potentially develop online parts sales
Maintain detailed records of all transactions, including cash handling, estimates, and work orders.
Communicate clearly with customers and drivers regarding vehicle status, repair procedures, and cost estimates to ensure satisfaction.
Assist with automotive diagnostics and mechanical assessments when necessary to better understand customer and driver concerns.

Qualifications

Proven service management experience with a strong understanding of repair processes and times.
Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, suspension systems, tire service, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, air brake systems, alignment, and auto body repair.
Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in vehicle maintenance and service writing.
Experience in auto estimating software and auto sales is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction and teamwork.

Pay: $53,179.74 - $64,044.42 per year
