Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Parts Department Manager to lead our automotive parts team with enthusiasm and precision. Duties
- Lead and supervise the parts department team, setting clear goals and motivating staff to deliver exceptional service
- Manage inventory levels using advanced DMS systems and order management software to ensure optimal stock availability
- Oversee procurement processes, sourcing OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts and maintaining supplier relationships for competitive advantage
- Coordinate with automotive service and repair teams to fulfill parts requests promptly, supporting efficient vehicle turnaround times
- Implement warehouse management best practices, including shipping & receiving procedures and storage optimization.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dealership or automotive parts management with a strong understanding of supply chain management principles
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, HVAC systems, and mechanical knowledge beneficial for technical understanding
- Proficiency in DMS systems or similar platforms; experience with order management systems is essential
- Knowledge of warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, inventory control, and forklift operation certification preferred
- Ability to analyze data entries accurately and maintain precise inventory records using DMS tools
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to train staff effectively and foster a collaborative team environment
