The Automotive Parts Manager leads the parts department with a service-first mindset, ensuring efficient operations, excellent customer service, and strong financial performance. This role is responsible for inventory management, vendor relations, team leadership, and supporting the service and sales departments. Lead, train, and motivate the parts department team to provide exceptional customer service and support internal departments.
Oversee daily operations of the parts department, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and issuing parts.
Maintain accurate inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and minimize obsolescence and shrinkage.
Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs and aftermarket vendors to ensure competitive pricing and reliable supply.
Support the service department by ensuring technicians have timely access to the correct parts to keep repairs moving efficiently.
Assist the sales department with parts and accessory needs for vehicle reconditioning and customer requests.
Monitor department performance, control expenses, and work to achieve gross profit and inventory turn goals.
Ensure compliance with dealership policies, manufacturer standards, and safety procedures.
Handle customer concerns professionally and resolve issues with a focus on long-term relationships and satisfaction.

Previous experience in an automotive parts department, with supervisory or management experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of automotive parts, inventory systems, and dealership operations.
Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
Ability to analyze reports, manage budgets, and make data-driven decisions.

Proficiency with dealership management systems (DMS) and basic computer applications.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certifications are a plus.
