Clay Cooley Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Dallas is seeking an experienced Automotive Sales Manager to help lead our sales team, drive volume, and maximize gross profit. This role is responsible for managing the sales floor, desking deals, training sales consultants, and ensuring strong execution of the dealership sales process.
The ideal candidate has prior dealership management experience, understands both volume and gross strategy, and can lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
Manage and coach a team of automotive sales consultants to achieve monthly sales and gross profit targets
Desk deals and structure transactions to maximize front-end and back-end profitability
Maintain accountability for the dealership sales process, customer experience, and compliance standards
Monitor daily sales activities including appointments, showroom traffic, follow-up, and internet lead management
Work closely with the F&I department to ensure efficient deal flow and maximize product penetration
Support inventory strategy, pricing, and merchandising alongside the used car and inventory management teams
Recruit, train, and develop new sales consultants to build a strong and productive sales team
Review deals for accuracy and ensure proper documentation before submission to accounting
Drive customer satisfaction and maintain strong online reputation through exceptional guest experiences
Qualifications
Previous experience as an Automotive Sales Manager, Desk Manager, or Finance Manager preferred
Proven track record of achieving sales volume and gross profit goals in a dealership environment
Strong leadership and coaching ability with experience developing sales teams
Experience desking deals, structuring financing, and managing deal flow
Familiarity with dealership CRM systems and inventory management tools
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume dealership environment
