Responsibilities
- Greet and qualify customers (walk-ins, appointments, phone, online leads) to understand needs and budget.
- Present and demonstrate new and pre-owned vehicles, features, and benefits; arrange and conduct test drives.
- Advise customers on financing, lease and purchase options; coordinate with the finance department to complete paperwork and close sales.
- Prepare accurate vehicle quotes, sales contracts, trade-in appraisals, and documentation.
- Negotiate price and terms professionally while protecting dealership profitability.
- Follow up with prospects and past customers to build relationships, generate referrals, and secure repeat business.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product lines, competitive vehicles, incentives, and promotions.
- Ensure showroom and vehicle presentation standards are met; coordinate with lot and detail teams.
- Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets and KPIs (units sold, gross profit, customer satisfaction scores).
- Comply with all legal, regulatory, and dealership policies (privacy, financing disclosures, licensing).
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous automotive sales experience not required. Most of our sales staff came from outside the industry.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Customer-service oriented with ability to build rapport quickly.
- Comfortable with technology: CRM systems, digital lead tools, and basic office software.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Professional appearance, reliability, and ability to work a flexible schedule (evenings, weekends).
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary plus commission/bonus structure
Pay: $75,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
