Job Title: Service Advisor
Reports to: Schell Tingley (Service Manager)
Position Information: This is a full-time position. Hours will be set by manager.
Average Compensation Expectations $60,000-$100,000
Position Responsibilities:
- Maintain Excellent Customer Service Satisfaction
- Greeting customer in a professional manner
- Addressing customer concerns in a timely manner
- Scheduling customer appointments
- Answer phone inquires and return customer calls daily
- Communicate to customers
- All expected costs and time frame for service
- Additional work need, explaining detail of cost and time considerations
- Tracking of vehicle and communicating progress with customer
- Deliver vehicle to customer and answer any questions
- Handles customer’s complaints or concerns
- Refers to service history
- Internal Communication
- Notify dispatch of incoming work
- Repair Orders
- Writes
- RO’s must be legible
- Provide estimates for labor and parts
- Contact customer with any changes in RO
- Establish “Time Promised”
- Obtain customer signature on RO
- Record any changes on RO
- Compare final invoice with original RO
- Responsible for quality control to ensure that work is completed as written on RO
- Maintain Open RO list, close RO’s in a timely manner
- Work with Service Manager to address problems and concerns in closing RO’s.
Qualifications:
- Having an enthusiastic and hardworking attitude
- Able to read and comprehend instructions and information
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong automotive knowledge and previous automotive related experience
- Commitment to being a team player
- Able to work in stressful situations
- 2-years’ experience in dealership/automotive, experience with Ford dealership as plus
- Experience with CDK Automotive software, preferred but not required
- General knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations
- Professional appearance
Education & Experience:
High school Diploma or GED equivalent
Certifications and Licensing:
Physical Demands:
Position requires, sitting, stooping, bending and moving throughout the service department. May lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Works directly with service customers. This position is exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. Road-testing of vehicles also may be required.
