Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and professionally, establishing a positive rapport from the moment they arrive.
- Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues using auto estimating software.
- Explain repair recommendations clearly, upselling necessary services such as oil changes, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, tire services, transmissions, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services.
- Manage service write-ups efficiently while maintaining detailed records of all transactions and vehicle histories.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments securely.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and promote additional automotive services or sales opportunities.
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or background in auto service management is highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and repair procedures.
- Familiarity with automotive systems such as transmissions, oil changes, brake systems, alignments, suspension components, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, and auto body repair.
- Experience in auto estimating software and service writing is essential for success in this role.
- Excellent customer service skills coupled with the ability to upsell automotive services confidently.
- Previous experience handling cash transactions and working within a fast-paced dealership or repair shop environment is advantageous.
- Knowledge of automobile sales processes can be a plus but is not mandatory.
