Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Automotive Service Manager to lead our service department. In this vital role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure top-tier customer service, and drive profitability through effective management of service technicians, parts, and repair processes. Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the service department, including staffing, scheduling, and workflow coordination to maximize efficiency.
- Oversee automotive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance services such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, suspension work, tire services, alignments, shocks & struts, diesel engine repairs, and auto body repairs.
- Ensure high-quality workmanship by monitoring service technician performance and providing ongoing training in automotive repair techniques and diagnostics.
- Drive sales through upselling additional services like auto estimating, service writing, and vehicle maintenance packages while maintaining transparency with customers.
- Maintain excellent customer relations by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring a positive experience from vehicle drop-off to pick-up.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and oversee parts inventory management to support efficient service delivery.
- Promote a safety-conscious environment by adhering to all safety protocols related to automotive repair and dealership operations.
- Manage and establish policies and procedures for the Service Department to maximize workshop utilization and productivity to ensure profitability and required volume and level of sales, gross profit and customer satisfaction.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in auto service management.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, suspension systems, tire services, alignments, shocks & struts, diesel engines, air brakes, and auto body repair.
- Demonstrated ability in upselling services and automotive sales strategies.
- Experience working with service technicians on complex repairs such as automotive diagnostics and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Proficiency in auto estimating software and service writing procedures.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
