Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized Automotive Parts Manager to lead our parts department with enthusiasm and precision. In this role, you will handle inventory management, and distribution of automotive parts, ensuring that service and body shop repair teams get the parts required to complete their repairs. Duties
- Manage the entire lifecycle of automotive parts inventory, including ordering, stocking, and distribution to ensure availability for service and repair needs
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to source OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts efficiently while maintaining cost-effectiveness
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules, strengthening supplier relationships for consistent quality and supply
- Utilize AutoSoft DMS, FordEcat, Snap-On computer systems and catalogues.
- Oversee operations including shipping & receiving, storage organization
- Conduct demand planning based on historical data, upcoming service schedules to optimize inventory levels and reduce excess stock
Skills
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles within the automotive industry
- Experience in supplier management, negotiation tactics, and sourcing OEM parts effectively
- Strong understanding of automotive diagnostics, auto body repair processes, and automotive service procedures
- Familiarity with inventory management techniques
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry and record-keeping tasks
- Strong customer service orientation combined with effective communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams
- Experience working in dealership environments settings is REQUIRED, and FORD dealer experience is a definite plus
