Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Parts Manager to lead our automotive parts department with enthusiasm and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the procurement, inventory control, and distribution of vehicle parts, ensuring seamless operations that support our service and repair teams. Your expertise in supply chain management, supplier relations, and automotive diagnostics will drive efficiency, optimize costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Order Fulfillment: Accurately look up and retrieve Ford/Motorcraft parts for service technicians and retail customers using electronic parts catalogs.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, process incoming shipments, manage backorders,and handle returns. Ensure older parts are managed properly.
- Wholesale & Counter Sales: Assist independent repair shops and commercial accounts with parts orders. Suggest companion products to maximize sales.
- Warranty & Tagging: Ensure all defective or replaced parts are correctly tagged and documented so the dealership can recover full credit from Ford.
- Department Collaboration: Work closely with Service Managers, Quick Lane technicians, and body shop staff to ensure a timely turnaround on vehicle repairs
Skills
- Product Knowledge: Strong technical automotive knowledge and familiarity with Ford OEM parts and manufacturer-specific cataloging.
- Computer Literacy: Ability to navigate dealership management systems (DMS) and inventory tracking software.
- Communication Skills: Excellent phone and in-person customer service skills for handling client inquiries and building relationships.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to stand, walk, and occasionally lift heavy automotive parts (typically up to 50–60 lbs).
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
