Experienced Automotive Detailer/ Lot Tech – Full Time – Monday thru Friday

Position Summary
The Detailer / Lot Technician is responsible for maintaining the appearance, cleanliness, and organization of dealership vehicles and the dealership lot. This position supports the sales and service departments by ensuring vehicles are cleaned, prepared, and presented to customers in a professional manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Vehicle Detailing
- Wash, wax, and dry vehicles.
- Vacuum and clean vehicle interiors.
- Shampoo carpets and upholstery as needed.
- Clean windows, mirrors, wheels, and tires.
- Apply dressings and protectants to interior and exterior surfaces.
- Remove stickers, residue, and contaminants from vehicles.
- Perform final quality inspections before vehicle delivery.
Lot Maintenance
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the dealership lot.
- Arrange and organize inventory vehicles according to dealership standards.
- Ensure vehicles are parked correctly and displayed professionally.
- Monitor lot for debris, trash, snow, or hazards and address as needed.
- Check and maintain vehicle battery charge levels.
Vehicle Movement
- Move vehicles between service, sales, body shop, and storage locations.
- Transport vehicles to and from customer delivery areas.
- Assist with dealer trades and vehicle transfers when required.
- Ensure vehicles are fueled and ready for delivery.
Service Department Support
- Assist advisors and technicians with vehicle staging.
- Deliver vehicles to customers after service.
- Perform courtesy washes for service customers.
- Assist with shop cleanliness and organization.
Inventory Management
- Verify vehicle stock numbers and locations.
- Install license plate frames, dealer decals, and window stickers.
- Report vehicle damage or maintenance concerns immediately.
- Assist with receiving new vehicle shipments.
Customer Service
- Greet customers when necessary and provide basic assistance.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Represent the dealership in a courteous and professional manner.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles (preferred).
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous detailing or automotive experience preferred but not required.
Performance Expectations
- Vehicles cleaned and ready on schedule.
- Lot maintained to dealership standards daily.
- Minimal vehicle damage incidents.
- Positive teamwork with sales and service departments.
- Consistent adherence to dealership safety policies.
This role is critical to ensuring every customer sees clean, well-presented vehicles and receives a positive dealership experience.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
