Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor/Writer to join our fast-paced dealership team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. Your enthusiasm and mechanical knowledge will help guide clients through their service needs, ensuring a positive experience from start to finish. You will coordinate with technicians, provide accurate auto estimates, and promote additional services to maximize customer satisfaction and dealership profitability. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Prepare detailed auto estimates using auto estimating software, clearly explaining repairs and costs
- Collaborate with service technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of work
- Upsell appropriate additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, and transmission services
- Maintain accurate documentation of all transactions, including cash handling and repair orders
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle status, repair recommendations, and cost estimates
- Assist in vehicle diagnostics by understanding mechanical issues related to transmissions, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, and other automotive systems
- Promote automotive service packages that enhance vehicle longevity and safety while meeting customer expectations
- Ensure a smooth flow of operations by coordinating between customers, technicians, parts department, and management
Experience
- Proven dealership experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or Writer preferred
- Basic knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures including oil changes, brake repair, wheel alignments, suspension work, and tire service.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity
- Basic cash handling skills with attention to detail in transaction processing
- Knowledge of automobile sales processes is a plus but not required
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers of varying levels of automotive knowledge

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
