Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Automotive Service Manager to lead our service department with energy and expertise. In this vital role, you will oversee daily operations, manage a team of skilled technicians, and ensure outstanding customer satisfaction. Your leadership will drive the success of our service offerings, from routine maintenance to complex repairs, fostering a positive environment that promotes growth and excellence.

Duties

Lead and motivate the service team to deliver exceptional automotive repair and maintenance services.
Oversee daily shop operations, including workflow management, scheduling, and quality control.
Manage customer interactions by providing clear communication, accurate estimates, and resolving concerns promptly.
Drive sales through upselling additional services such as transmissions, oil changes, alignments, brake repairs, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, suspension work and more.
Ensure accurate service writing and auto estimating to maximize profitability while maintaining transparency with customers.
Monitor inventory levels for parts and supplies needed for various automotive repairs.
Maintain compliance with safety standards and uphold dealership policies to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

Proven automotive experience with a strong background in auto service management.
Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures including transmissions, oil changes, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, and more.
Experience working with service technicians to coordinate repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
Strong sales acumen with experience in upselling automotive services and auto estimating.
Mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on mechanic experience or familiarity with automotive diagnostics.
