Sheridan Motors CDJR GMC is looking for an experienced, motivated, and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our sales team and help drive continued growth at our dealership.
We are seeking a strong leader who can motivate sales professionals, manage daily showroom activity, improve closing performance, and deliver an excellent customer experience. The ideal candidate has automotive sales management experience, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to train, coach, and hold a team accountable. Experience with F&I is a huge plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed monthly sales goals
- Desk deals, work with lenders, structure transactions, and maximize gross profit
- Back up F&I as needed to support smooth, timely, and compliant deal delivery
- Train and coach sales consultants on product knowledge, customer follow-up, closing techniques, and dealership processes
- Monitor showroom activity, internet leads, phone calls, appointments, and follow-up
- Ensure every customer receives a professional, high-quality buying experience
- Work closely with the General Manager, Finance Department, and other dealership leadership
- Maintain strong knowledge of new and pre-owned inventory
- Help manage vehicle pricing, appraisals, trade-ins, and inventory turn
- Review sales performance metrics and implement strategies for improvement
- Maintain compliance with dealership policies, manufacturer standards, and all applicable laws
- Support the finance process as needed and work closely with the F&I department to ensure smooth, compliant transactions
Qualifications
- Automotive sales management experience preferred
- F&I experience is a huge plus
- Proven track record of achieving sales goals and leading a successful team
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to desk deals and work effectively with finance and lending partners
- Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to professionalism
- Strong follow-up and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
