BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTER SALES REPRESENTATIVE
The Business Development Sales Representative is responsible for receiving and responding to web based electronic inquiries (leads) and phone calls that result from prospects and customers visiting various dealerships and websites. The BDC Rep will be evaluated based on performance standards that measure how many leads were converted to phone calls, set appointments, and showroom visits. The BDC Rep should be fully capable of both traditional and Internet-specific automotive sales processes. The BDC Rep will be required to execute customer communications via telephone, email, and text messaging outlets that are set forth by management. A BDC Rep must have both, reliable daily transportation and the ability to show up to work on time, per published schedules set forth by management.
QUALIFICATIONS AND DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Ability to conduct outbound phone calls at a rate of 15 calls per hour for 8-10 hours per day.
- Show up for work on time as scheduled by management.
- Attend weekly sales meetings set by management,
- Use a PC for communication via email and text.
- Ability to do basic data entry into the lead management tool and CRM tool respectively.
- Respond to Internet leads within 5 minutes of receiving them.
- Call Internet leads within 10 minutes of receiving them.
- Set appointments for showroom visits with at least 40% of new leads received.
- Convert 50% of the set appointments into showroom visits to the dealership.
- Complete all required testing as set forth by the company.
- Utilize the lead management tools on the PC to ensure proper response times.
- Send personalized email templates to communicate with online customers.
- Use personalized phone scripts and word tracks as guidelines for process and flow of phone contacts.
- Use the lead management tool to track customers and provide updates to the entire dealership.
- Use lead management tool to register all customer contact with the entire dealership.
- BDC Reps must be able to ensure that the appointment information is delivered to the customer promptly through the lead management tool.
- Maintain proper follow-up and contact with the customers on recorded call lines and ensure all feedback is properly noted in the lead management tool.
- Must be approachable and open to quantitative and qualitative feedback for coaching purposes on phone calls, emails, and text messages.
TRACKING:
Each hour, BDC Reps will update the lead management tool to register each of the following:
- Outbound calls completed
- Number of customers contacted
- Number of appointments set
- Customers who returned / left messages
- Emails sent
- Text messages sent
- Appointments that visited the showroom
