Position Summary
The Auto Service Center Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the service center. This role oversees all daily operations, manages shop personnel, drives sales and profitability, ensures exceptional customer service, and maintains the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing a high-volume automotive repair facility, is highly proficient with Mitchell1 Manager SE, possesses strong leadership skills, and has a proven track record of improving operational performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management
- Oversee all day-to-day operations of the automotive service center.
- Manage workflow from vehicle check-in through final delivery.
- Schedule and prioritize repair work to maximize shop efficiency.
- Ensure repairs are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and professional facility.
- Monitor repair quality and perform final quality control before vehicle delivery.
Customer Service & Sales
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience from initial contact through vehicle pickup.
- Prepare accurate repair estimates using Mitchell1 Manager SE.
- Review technician inspections and diagnostic findings before presenting recommendations to customers.
- Clearly explain repair recommendations and maintenance needs.
- Follow up on pending estimates to maximize estimate approval rates.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and effectively.
- Build long-term customer relationships that generate repeat business and referrals.
Team Leadership
- Lead, motivate, and mentor technicians and support staff.
- Assign work based on technician skill level and shop workload.
- Hold technicians accountable for productivity, efficiency, and repair quality.
- Conduct employee coaching, performance reviews, and ongoing training.
- Participate in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and developing team members.
- Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Parts & Vendor Management
- Source OEM and aftermarket replacement parts from vendors.
- Negotiate pricing and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and dealerships.
- Ensure parts are ordered accurately and received on time.
- Manage inventory levels to minimize delays and reduce unnecessary costs.
Financial & Business Performance
- Drive revenue growth while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including:
- Average Repair Order (ARO)
- Technician Productivity
- Technician Efficiency
- Labor Gross Profit
- Parts Gross Profit
- Estimate Closing Ratio
- Customer Retention
- Car Count
- Control operating expenses while maintaining high service quality.
- Review daily, weekly, and monthly financial performance with ownership.
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Assist in developing and implementing marketing and customer retention initiatives.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate repair orders and customer records within Mitchell1.
- Ensure proper documentation for warranties and repairs.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and safety procedures.
- Prepare operational reports for ownership as requested.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing an automotive repair facility.
- Extensive experience using Mitchell1 Manager SE.
- Significant experience preparing customer estimates.
- Proven experience sourcing OEM and aftermarket automotive parts.
- Strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and repair procedures.
- Demonstrated success leading technicians and service personnel.
- Experience managing shop profitability and operational performance.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and leadership skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
- Existing relationships with automotive parts vendors in South Florida.
- Experience with digital vehicle inspections and workflow management.
- Strong understanding of business financials, labor management, and shop performance metrics.

Compensation & Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package based on experience, including performance-based bonuses tied to shop profitability, customer satisfaction, and operational performance. Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
