Kauai Collision Center is a trusted, locally owned collision repair facility in Lihue, Hawaii, committed to quality workmanship and exceptional customer service. We are seeking an experienced Collision Estimator to join our team. This is a full-time, on-site position ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Position Summary
As a Collision Estimator, you will be the primary point of contact for customers throughout the repair process. You will inspect vehicle damage, prepare accurate repair estimates, coordinate with insurance companies, and work closely with our production team to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect damaged vehicles and prepare accurate, comprehensive repair estimates.
- Create detailed repair plans using industry-standard estimating software.
- Communicate with insurance adjusters to review, negotiate, and finalize repair estimates.
- Guide customers through the repair process with clear, professional communication.
- Coordinate with technicians and the production team to ensure timely and accurate repairs.
- Monitor repair progress and update estimates as needed when additional damage is discovered.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with insurance and manufacturer repair procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Collision Estimator, Auto Body Estimator, or in a related collision repair or insurance claims role.
- Strong understanding of collision repair procedures and vehicle damage assessment.
- Experience using collision estimating software is preferred.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple repairs simultaneously.
- I-CAR and/or ASE certifications are a plus but not required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
