Role Description The General Manager is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Vero Beach, FL, responsible for overseeing dealership operations and ensuring operational excellence. The role includes managing sales, service, parts, and collision center performance; setting and monitoring business goals; and maintaining profitability and growth. The General Manager will lead and develop department managers and team members, ensuring strong coaching, performance management, and a positive workplace culture. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing financial reports and KPIs, developing strategic plans, optimizing processes, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. The General Manager will also cultivate strong customer relationships, foster community involvement, and uphold Dyer Auto Group’s mission and values in all aspects of dealership operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in automotive dealership management or a similar retail leadership role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding performance targets.
- Strong skills in business operations, financial analysis, and budgeting, including the ability to interpret KPIs and manage profit and loss.
- Leadership capabilities in team management, coaching, and talent development, with the ability to build a collaborative, inclusive, high-performing culture.
- Expertise in sales strategy, customer experience, and relationship building, with a focus on trust, transparency, and long-term customer retention.
- Ability to oversee service, parts, and collision center operations, ensuring high quality standards, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort with dealership technology systems, CRM tools, and basic digital marketing concepts that support business growth.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and alignment with Dyer Auto Group’s mission of being customer focused, community minded, and relationship driven.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience in automotive retail management will be considered.
