Gallatin Ford is looking for an experienced automotive parts professional to join our team as an Assistant Parts Manager / Senior Parts Professional.
This role is designed for someone who can step in and make an immediate impact while working closely with our Parts Manager on the day-to-day operation of the department. It could be a great fit for a former Parts Manager who prefers a strong supporting role, or an experienced parts professional who is ready to grow into future leadership.
We are looking for someone who understands dealership parts operations, can support the team, and is comfortable taking ownership when needed.
What You'll Do
- Support the Parts Manager with daily department operations
- Assist retail, wholesale, and internal service customers
- Accurately identify, order, receive, and invoice parts
- Help manage inventory levels, special orders, backorders, returns, and cores
- Support inventory control and help reduce obsolete parts
- Work closely with the Service and Sales departments
- Assist and support Parts Department employees
- Maintain accurate records and follow dealership and manufacturer processes
- Help improve department efficiency, customer service, and profitability
- Step into additional leadership responsibilities when the Parts Manager is unavailable
What We're Looking For
- Several years of automotive dealership parts experience
- Previous Parts Manager, Assistant Parts Manager, or senior parts-counter experience preferred
- Ford dealership and Ford parts-catalog experience preferred
- Strong understanding of dealership parts operations and inventory control
- CDK experience preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to support and guide others while working as part of a team
- Dependable, professional, and comfortable taking initiative
