Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Shop Foreman / Powder Coating Supervisor to lead daily operations in a fast-paced powder coating facility. This role oversees production workflow, shop personnel, quality control, and safety compliance to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily powder coating operations including blasting, pretreatment, spraying, curing, and packaging
- Manage production schedules and workflow to meet deadlines
- Lead, train, and hold shop employees accountable for performance
- Perform and oversee quality control inspections (film thickness, adhesion, cure verification)
- Enforce OSHA safety standards and maintain a clean, organized facility
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventative maintenance
- Manage powder, chemical, and supply inventory
Requirements
- 3+ years supervisory experience in powder coating or industrial finishing
- Strong knowledge of sandblasting, pretreatment systems, and electrostatic spray application
- Experience managing production schedules in a manufacturing environment
- Solid understanding of OSHA and workplace safety standards
- Ability to read work orders and customer specifications accurately
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred
- Experience with aluminum and steel coating
- High-volume production background
- Forklift certification
