Job Summary:
We are seeking a HIGHLY MOTIVATED sales associate and customer-oriented Service Writer to join our team. As a Service Writer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and coordinating automotive repair and maintenance services. Your role will involve communicating with customers, assessing vehicle issues, and ensuring that repairs are completed efficiently and accurately.
Duties:
-Excel in sales and leadership
- Greet customers and provide a warm welcome to the service department
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify necessary repairs or maintenance
- Provide detailed explanations of recommended services and associated costs
- Prepare accurate repair estimates using auto estimating software
- Coordinate repair schedules and ensure timely completion of work
- Communicate with technicians to ensure they have all necessary information for repairs
- Update customers on the status of their vehicles and any changes to the repair plan
- Process customer payments and maintain accurate records of transactions
Requirements:
- Previous experience in automotive service writing or related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes and terminology
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to build rapport with customers and provide exceptional customer service
- Proficient in using auto estimating software and other computer programs
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of aligning, brake repair, and other automotive services is a plus
