We are seeking a high-energy, professional Service Advisor to serve as the primary liaison between our customers and our service bay. We pride ourselves on being a versatile, full-service facility that covers all types of vehicles, regardless of make or model—we cover all foreign and domestic cars.

In this role, you aren't just an order-taker; you are a consultant. We are looking for a professional who combines a proven understanding of mechanical components with exceptional social intelligence. Your goal is to build long-term trust by translating complex technical issues into clear, actionable information, ensuring every customer leaves confident in the safety and performance of their vehicle.

Responsibilities

Customer Consultation: Act as the primary point of contact, greeting customers with a sociable, welcoming attitude and documenting vehicle symptoms with high accuracy.
Technical Translation: Use your understanding of mechanical components to explain the "why" behind repairs across American, European, and Asian platforms.
Estimate & Sales: Develop and present comprehensive cost estimates for labor and parts, ensuring the customer understands the priority of each service.
Workflow Coordination: Interface with the shop foreman and technicians to track vehicle status, ensuring repairs stay on schedule and parts arrive on time.
Professional Documentation: Utilize strong writing skills to maintain clear, detailed repair orders and communicate updates to customers via email or text.
Quality Control: Review completed work orders to ensure all customer concerns were addressed before the vehicle is returned.

Qualifications

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of proven experience specifically working with vehicles in a service writing or service advising role.
Mechanical Knowledge: Must have a shown understanding of mechanical components and automotive systems (engine, drivetrain, suspension, and electrical).
Communication Mastery: Exceptional sociable nature and writing skills. You must be able to de-escalate stressful situations and explain technical diagnostics with empathy and clarity.
Global Vehicle Knowledge: A strong technical understanding of the distinct nuances between European (e.g., BMW, Audi), Asian (e.g., Toyota, Honda), and Domestic (e.g., Ford, Chevy) vehicles.
Tech-Savvy: High competence with computers and specialized service writing software (Mitchell1).
Detail-Oriented: Ability to manage multiple digital repair orders simultaneously while maintaining 100% accuracy in parts and labor billing.
