Duties
- Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their vehicle concerns, and provide clear explanations of recommended services.
- Write detailed service orders, accurately estimating costs and timeframes using auto estimating tools.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, ensuring timely completion of services such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmission work, suspension, tire services, and more.
- Upsell additional services and maintenance based on vehicle diagnostics and mechanical knowledge to maximize customer satisfaction and dealership revenue.
- Maintain thorough records of service history, repair orders, and customer interactions for future reference.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or automotive service management background is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and mechanical systems, including transmissions, diesel engines, air brakes, shocks & struts, alignments, suspension systems, tire services, and auto body repair.
- Hands-on mechanic experience or service technician background is a plus for a better understanding of technical issues.
- Familiarity with auto estimating software and automotive repair processes is essential.
- Demonstrated ability in sales and upselling techniques within an automotive setting.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in vehicle maintenance ensures credibility when advising customers on repairs or services.
