North Oakland Motors is a veteran owned business looking to hire an experienced Car Salesperson who knows how to sell a down / monthly payment, work clean prime / subprime approvals, and run your own deals from start to finish.
This is not your average car sales job. We’re looking for someone who takes control, works smart, and knows how to turn approvals into sold units with honesty and integrity in a structured environment.
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic experienced Car Salesperson to join our 3-person sales team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for automobiles and a strong background in sales, with the ability to connect with customers and guide them through the purchasing process. This role requires excellent communication skills, a customer-oriented approach, and the ability to manage a sales pipeline effectively.
Duties
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and preferences in automobile purchases.
- Utilize negotiation skills to close sales and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain an organized sales pipeline, tracking leads and follow-ups using CRM software.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process, from initial contact to post-sale support.
- Upsell additional products and services that enhance the customer experience.
- Manage inventory control, ensuring that all vehicles are accurately represented in the dealership's offerings.
- Guide customers through the financing and approval process
- Present and sell realistic down payments based on approvals
- Match customers with vehicles that fit their approval and needs
- Take full ownership of the deal – from the initial phone call to the final signature preparing all documents and ensuring funding.
Requirements
- Proven success in subprime / special finance auto sales
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing deals successfully.
- Proficiency in CRM software for managing customer relationships and sales activities.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills for engaging with customers over the phone and in person.
- Familiarity with retail sales processes, including upselling techniques and inventory management practices.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations related to retail transactions and financing options.
