Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Automotive New Car Sales Manager (Director-Level) with a proven track record of high performance and effective leadership.
This role is responsible for leading the New Car Sales Department, driving profitability, managing inventory, developing staff, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. You will work closely with executive leadership to execute strategies that achieve volume, gross, and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of the New Car Sales Department
- Desk deals and oversee deal structure from start to finish
- Order and manage new vehicle inventory
- Evaluate and implement advertising strategies
- Maintain strong CRM usage and accountability across the team
- Evaluate trades and ensure proper inventory acquisition
- Create synergy between new and used car departments
- Train, evaluate, and collaborate with the F&I department
- Hire, train, mentor, and develop sales staff and future leaders
- Conduct regular sales and management meetings
- Ensure achievement of sales goals (volume & gross)
- Oversee lot control and inventory merchandising
- Maintain website accuracy, pricing, and compliance
- Monitor and control departmental expenses
- Work closely with the Service Department to support overall dealership success
- Maintain high ethical standards while maximizing profitability
- Build strong customer relationships and referral networks
- Represent the dealership at community events
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years in automotive sales
- Minimum 5 years in sales management
- Proven track record of consistent departmental growth and performance
- Strong experience in inventory management and forecasting
- F&I experience REQUIRED
- Must be able to structure, desk, and close deals independently
- Experience running a high-volume new car department
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Data-driven and analytical decision-maker
- Customer-first mindset with a commitment to excellence
- Proficient with CRM systems and dealership technology
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Ford experience is a plus (certification required after hire)

Location Requirement
This is an on-site role in Mineral Wells, TX.
Candidate must relocate to Mineral Wells within 6 months of hire.
Due to the nature of the position, this role may require being on-call and responding to dealership needs as they arise.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
