Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Service/Parts Director, where you will lead the strategic and operational aspects of our service and parts departments. This pivotal role involves overseeing supply chain management, supplier relationships, inventory control, and automotive diagnostics to ensure exceptional customer service and operational efficiency. As a key leader, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimize procurement processes, and foster a customer-centric environment that promotes growth and excellence across all service and parts functions.
Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for service and parts operations to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee supply chain management, including sourcing, procurement, logistics, and inventory control to ensure timely availability of parts and equipment.
- Manage supplier relationships through negotiation, performance evaluation, and contract management to secure favorable terms and quality standards.
- Lead warehouse management activities, including inventory management, shipping & receiving, order processing, and warehouse safety protocols.
- Utilize ERP systems, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), AS400, and other software tools for data entry, order management, demand planning, and reporting.
- Ensure automotive diagnostics accuracy by maintaining mechanical knowledge and supporting automotive service teams in troubleshooting procedures.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, auto body repair shops, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) partners, and equipment repair teams to streamline operations.
- Foster a culture of customer service excellence by training staff on dealership experience standards and automotive repair best practices.
- Monitor pricing strategies, demand planning forecasts, and procurement activities to optimize costs while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Lead initiatives in sourcing new suppliers or products to enhance inventory options while managing logistics for shipping & receiving processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in dealership or automotive service environments with a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and repair processes.
- Extensive knowledge of supply chain management, procurement management, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as AS400 or similar order management systems; experience with CMMS preferred.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of managing supplier relationships effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair or equipment maintenance is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail through data entry and inventory management tasks.
- Experience with shipping & receiving logistics, sourcing strategies, demand planning, pricing models, and auto body repair processes.
- Valid forklift certification or warehouse experience is preferred; familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
