Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic *Director* to lead our automotive dealership operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive service management, dealership operations, and customer service excellence. This leadership role requires strategic planning, team management, and a comprehensive understanding of automotive repair, sales, and service processes to ensure operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Oversee daily dealership operations, including sales, service, parts, and administrative functions
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales volume and improve customer retention
- Manage and mentor department managers and staff to ensure high performance standards
- Coordinate with service technicians to ensure quality vehicle repairs, including diagnostics, oil changes, brake repairs, transmission work, suspension, tire services, and diesel engine repairs
- Monitor inventory levels of parts and automotive supplies; oversee vehicle maintenance schedules
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
- Lead upselling initiatives to maximize revenue opportunities during customer interactions
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve escalated issues promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction levels
- Oversee auto estimating, service writing, and vehicle repair documentation processes
- Maintain accurate cash handling procedures and financial records
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dealership management or automotive service management is essential
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repairs (including transmissions, air brakes, shocks & struts), and mechanical systems
- Experience with auto body repair processes is a plus
- Demonstrated ability in upselling, auto estimating, and sales within an automotive environment
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building long-term client relationships
- Mechanical knowledge combined with service technician experience preferred
- Familiarity with auto service operations such as oil changes, tire services, alignment, suspension work, and diesel engine repairs
- Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in vehicle maintenance records and service writing
- Cash handling experience is desirable
- Automotive repair or mechanic background is advantageous for understanding technical aspects of the role

Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
