seeking a Business Development Representative to serve as A/E/C Proposal Writer
Position Description
Mimar Architects & Engineers, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated, business-minded candidate who has an outgoing personality and isn’t afraid to take initiative. The person in this position will work primarily with the Business Development team to assist with proposal writing/ Editing/formatting. A candidate with marketing and business development experience in the architectural or engineering consulting field is highly preferred but not required.
To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience developing leads from marketing campaigns and meeting quotas. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with clients from first contact through to when you are given an opportunity. You will also ensure proper follow-up service. Responsibilities
- Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as project opportunities.
- Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails.
- Present our company to potential clients.
- Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services.
- Customize product solutions to increase client retention.
- Build long-term trusting relationships with clients.
- Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
- Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and the Management team.
- Report to the Business Development Manager(weekly/monthly/quarterly) on results
- Stay up-to-date with new opportunities in the pipeline
Requirements and skills
- Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative or similar role
- Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
- Track record of achieving sales quotas
- Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce)
- Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Compensation
Salary is commensurate with experience.
