Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Automotive Service Manager to lead our service department. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure top-quality vehicle repairs, and cultivate strong relationships with customers. Your leadership will inspire your team to deliver outstanding service while maximizing efficiency and profitability.
Duties
- Manage the entire service department, including scheduling, workflow, and customer interactions
- Supervise service technicians and mechanics, providing guidance on automotive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures
- Oversee vehicle repair processes such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmission work, alignment, suspension, tire services, shocks & struts, diesel engine repairs, air brake systems, and auto body repairs
- Drive upselling initiatives by recommending additional services like auto estimating and service writing to enhance customer satisfaction and dealership revenue
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards across all service operations
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally to foster trust and loyalty
- Monitor parts inventory levels and coordinate with vendors for timely procurement
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in auto service management
- Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures including transmissions, oil changes, brakes, suspensions, tires, diesel engines, shocks & struts, and auto body work
- Experience in service technician supervision and automotive repair processes
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Proficiency in auto estimating software and service writing practices
- Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity
- Strong organizational skills with cash handling experience preferred
- Knowledge of automotive sales processes is a plus

Pay: $168,000.00 - $260,000.00 per year
