Job Description:
We are a growing automotive body repair shop looking for a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Prepper / Buffer / Driver. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in quality, and wants to grow within the auto body industry.
You’ll assist with vehicle preparation, polishing, and shop support tasks while helping maintain an efficient and clean work environment. We offer opportunities for advancement and the chance to learn additional skills in auto body repair and refinishing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare vehicles for paint (sanding, masking, priming, and cleaning surfaces)
- Buff and polish vehicles to achieve a high-quality finish
- Safely move and transport vehicles as needed (local driving)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop and work areas
- Assist technicians with general shop duties
- Inspect work to ensure quality standards are met
- Follow all safety procedures and shop guidelines
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience with buffing and polishing preferred (or willingness to learn)
- Ability to prep vehicles for painting
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift as required in a shop environment
