Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Automotive Sales Manager to lead our sales team in delivering outstanding customer experiences and achieving strong sales performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a proven track record in automotive sales, and a deep understanding of the retail vehicle sales process. This position is based in Scottsdale, Arizona and requires a strong knowledge of local and state compliance standards, including Arizona Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to meet or exceed dealership goals
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans and promotional initiatives
- Maintain a deep understanding of vehicle inventory and pricing strategies
- Manage the sales process from prospecting to closing, ensuring a seamless experience
- Conduct regular training and performance evaluations for sales staff
- Collaborate with the finance and service departments to ensure customer satisfaction
- Monitor market trends and competitor performance
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws including Arizona MVD regulations
- Utilize CRM tools and dealership management systems (DMS) to track performance
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in automotive sales, with 1-2 years in a leadership role
- Proven ability to lead and grow a high-performing sales team
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with dealership CRM and DMS software
- Valid Arizona Driver’s License and clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced, customer-focused automotive dealership
- May require evening and weekend hours
- Indoor showroom and occasional outdoor lot work
