We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Automotive Service Manager to lead our service department with enthusiasm and expertise. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the entire service department, including technicians, service advisors, and support staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Oversee vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance services such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, suspension work, tire services, alignments, shocks & struts, diesel engine repairs, auto body repairs, air brake systems, and auto estimating
- Ensure all work meets quality standards while adhering to safety protocols and manufacturer specifications
- Drive sales through effective upselling of additional services and vehicle accessories while maintaining transparency with customers
- Manage customer interactions by providing exceptional service writing, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring complete satisfaction
- Monitor department performance metrics including productivity, profitability, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement
- Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain detailed records of all service activities
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in auto service management
- Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures including transmissions, brakes, suspension, tires, oil changes, auto body repair, air brake systems, alignment services, shocks & struts, diesel engines
- Hands-on mechanic experience or familiarity with automotive repair processes is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability in auto estimating software and service writing practices
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building lasting client relationships
- Strong sales acumen with experience in upselling vehicle services and automobile sales
- Ability to lead a team effectively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Valid knowledge of cash handling procedures and inventory management
