Position Overview
High-volume new car franchise dealership seeking an experienced Used Vehicle Inventory Manager. This role is heavily focused on inventory acquisition, appraisal, reconditioning control, and turn, with additional responsibility supporting desk operations and deal flow.
This is a hands-on position for a disciplined operator who understands that buying right and recon control drive profitability.
Primary Responsibilities
- Buy used vehicles through auctions, trades, wholesalers, and direct-buy channels
- Appraise all incoming trade-ins and purchase opportunities
- Manage inventory mix, pricing, aging, and turn policy
- Oversee recon cost, recon time, and recon quality
- Partner with Service to meet time-to-line expectations
- Control wholesale strategy for non-retailable units
- Monitor market trends, demand, and acquisition performance
Secondary Responsibilities
- Support desk operations and deal structure as needed
- Assist sales team with closing when required
- Ensure 100% customer turnover to F&I
- Communicate inventory needs and trends with Sales Management
- Ensure sales team awareness of new inventory and promotions
Qualifications
- Proven experience in used-vehicle buying and inventory management
- Strong auction, appraisal, and recon control background
- Experience in a franchised dealership environment
- Analytical, decisive, and market-driven
- Professional appearance and leadership presence

Pay: $96,000.00 - $325,000.00 per year
