Galpin Volkswagen is seeking an experienced Parts Manager to join their team!

The Parts Manager is responsible for the profitability of the department, additionally forecasting goals and objectives, and expense control. The Parts Manager is responsible for asset management such as inventory, purchasing strength, merchandising and quality controls. The Parts Manager must develop effective parts processes for retail, internal, and customer pay ensuring productivity and profitability. The key function is to ensure that the Parts Department has the right parts at the right time for the right price, increasing sales for the Service and Parts Department.
Some of What You'll Do:
- Hire, train and supervise Parts Department employees.
- Ensure breadth and width of inventory conforms to service, front counter and fleet accounts, while minimizing overages or obsolescence.
- Collaborate with the Service Manager to ensure proper turnaround time for the service department.
- Ensure efficient shipping/receiving process and inventory is replenished accurately.
- Track and monitor all backorder parts.
- Monitor and resolve aging Accounts Receivable (A/R).
- Perform weekly perpetual inventory
- Establish policy and procedures for all special order parts.
- Prepares and completes monthly End of Month parts reconciliation.
- Establish and monitor competitive price schedules with above average profit margins.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Minimum 5 years Parts Department experience, Dealership supervisory experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally
- Excellent customer service skills
- Professional work ethic and high integrity
- Ability to work as a team and/or independently
- Strong problem solving and follow up skills
