Position Overview
The General Manager has full responsibility for the dealership’s performance, including financial results, operations, and culture.
This role leads all departments and ensures alignment across Sales, Service, Parts, and Finance while building a team capable of sustaining high performance over time.
The ideal candidate combines operational discipline, a strong understanding of luxury retail, and a commitment to developing people while driving results.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive total dealership P&L performance
- Lead all departments with a unified, performance-driven approach
- Deliver a luxury client experience aligned with brand standards
- Drive gross performance while supporting long-term customer relationships
- Build a culture of accountability, consistency, and execution
- Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing leaders
- Monitor and improve KPIs including gross, CSI, retention, and expenses
- Ensure adherence to Jaguar Land Rover standards
- Represent the dealership and Cavender Auto Group with OEM partners
Qualifications
- Proven success as a General Manager in a luxury automotive environment
- Consistent track record of strong financial and gross performance
- Deep understanding of luxury client expectations and experience standards
- Strong command of both variable and fixed operations
- Experience leading teams in structured, high-expectation environments
- Demonstrated ability to develop leaders and drive accountability
