Genesis of Honolulu is now hiring for a Service Consultant.

The Service Consultant position's compensation is a monthly salary of $2,000.00, plus commissions.
The Service Consultant is responsible for:
- Assisting the department manager in maintaining a smooth and efficient service department with a high degree of customer satisfaction;
- Diagnosing problems accurately and describing them clearly on the repair order;
- Estimating costs and completion times at the point of sale and clearly communicating them to customer;
- Assigning jobs to technicians based on skill level and current resource utilization;
- Reviewing works-in-progress to ensure quality and timeliness;
- Occasionally assisting technicians when they are having difficulty performing service work;
- Determining the correct part numbers on repair orders and assisting the parts department with the picking and posting of parts used before a job commences;
- Performing cashier functions, as needed;
- Making estimates for internal and wreck repairs;
- Opening & closing all customers' paid, warranty, and internal repair orders;
- Following procedures for quick & efficient handling of warranty items, including tagging and proper storage of these items;
- Becoming familiar and efficient with all phases of the computer system required for service & parts management;
- Providing superior customer service to both internal and external customers; and
- Other job duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Must have at least 2 years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Sales experience is preferred.
- General knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations.
- Must have one year experience in sales or a front-line customer service position or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have a current driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle abstract.
- Must have proficient computer skills.
