General Manager – Powersports Dealership (Turnaround Opportunity Texas)
A Texas-based powersports dealership is seeking a proven turnaround-focused General Manager to lead a critical transformation phase. This role is ideal for a results-driven operator who thrives in underperforming environments and knows how to quickly stabilize operations, install structure, and drive sustainable profitability.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong execution, accountability, and the ability to rebuild processes, performance, and culture.
Required Skills
● 3 + years general manager or senior leadership experience in powersports, automotive, or related retail in required
● Powersports sales management experience is required.
● Demonstrated success leading turnarounds or distressed operations
● Strong command of dealership financials, forecasting, and expense control
● Confident decision-maker with a bias toward action and accountability
● Comfortable making difficult personnel and operational decisions
● High integrity, resilience, and strong leadership presence
Key Responsibilities
● Lead a full operational turnaround with P&L ownership
● Diagnose performance gaps and rapidly implement corrective action plans
● Reset sales, F&I, service, and parts processes with clear accountability
● Improve inventory turn, pricing discipline, and margin performance
● Recruit, restructure, and develop department leadership as needed
● Establish a KPI cadence of improvement, and drive daily operating synergies between department
● Restore customer experience standards and dealership best practices
● Partner closely with ownership on short- and long-term recovery strategies
