Position Overview

We’re looking for an elite level GM to lead multiple Dealerships. The ideal candidate must have prior dealership experience from a high level leadership role. The General Manager assumes full responsibility and accountability for customer retention, operational performance, and the profitability of each department on behalf of the dealer.

This role requires a strong leader who uses sound business management practices to plan, motivate, and coordinate the management team while driving measurable results across all departments.

Previous Automotive General Manager experience is required.

Essential Duties

Hire, train, and motivate department managers
Direct and oversee management and supervisory personnel functions
Conduct formal performance evaluations at regular intervals
Develop and submit annual operational plans to the dealer
Review monthly departmental forecasts with the comptroller/office manager
Establish monthly and annual goals with department managers and review performance
Monitor Daily Operating Control (DOC) and recommend improvements
Provide accurate weekly financial reports to the dealer
Ensure monthly financial statements are accurate and submitted on time to the manufacturer
Maintain strong relationships with lending institutions and manufacturer representatives
Communicate and enforce dealership policies and procedures
Lead with enthusiasm to build culture and morale
Conduct regular manager meetings to ensure departmental efficiency and profitability
Approve training initiatives aligned with dealership goals
Review and approve compensation plans
Coordinate with the business office to ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting
Develop merchandising strategies and oversee advertising efforts
Resolve escalated customer concerns
Perform additional duties as assigned
